Our Philosophy
Vision Statement: To open minds and inspire learning.
Philosophy
NBK we are committed to fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging environment where children, families, educators, management, and the community collaborate to support children’s development. Our philosophy is guided by the beliefs and actions of each group:
Children
Blue Group
Belief: Friendships and social connections are essential for children’s development.
Actions: We encourage children to build positive relationships by engaging in cooperative play, learning each other’s names, and offering support to their peers. Through gentle interactions, warm gestures such as hugs, and shared play experiences, we foster a strong sense of belonging and companionship.
Yellow Group
Belief: Exploration and discovery, both within the centre and the broader community, enhance learning.
Actions: We inspire curiosity and engagement by providing thoughtfully planned activities, organizing excursions that broaden children’s understanding of the world, and supporting positive social interactions that promote teamwork and cooperation.
Green Group
Belief: A safe, happy, and respectful environment is fundamental for children’s growth.
Actions: We instill self-care and responsibility by encouraging children to apply sunscreen before outdoor play, participate in diverse learning experiences, and maintain a balanced diet. We emphasize environmental respect by caring for toys, sharing resources, listening to educators, and embracing lifelong learning opportunities.
Families
Blue Room
Belief: Educators should be attuned to children’s emotional needs, fostering understanding and emotional intelligence.
Actions: We serve as role models, demonstrating that it is okay to express emotions while teaching children positive emotional regulation strategies.
Yellow Room
Belief: Positive peer interactions play a crucial role in fostering friendships and social development.
Actions: We collaborate with educators to reinforce positive social behaviors at home.
Green Room
Belief: Providing freshly prepared, nutritious meals is essential for children’s well-being.
Actions: We offer feedback on the menu and participate in policy surveys related to nutrition and meal planning.
Educators
Blue Group

Actions: We foster a sense of belonging through cultural celebrations and experiences. We make curriculum decisions that uphold all children’s rights to have their cultures, identities, languages, capabilities, and strengths acknowledged and valued.
Green Group
Belief: High-quality education nurtures children to become independent thinkers and responsible citizens.
